Nowadays, the ”Divjaka – Karavasta” National Park it has become an interesting attraction not only for Albanian visitors but also for foreign visitors that come to see and enjoy the amazing beauty of the area: natural area with seaside pines, isolated beaches and convenient nesting place for seabirds.
Therefore, the Association for Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA), in collaboration with the Administration of Protected Areas – Fier, has finally finalized the construction of the new bird - watching tower in the area of the Park. The bird-watching tower was constructed on the frame of "Wetland Management and Dalmatian Pelican Conservation in the Mediterranean Basin" program that is financially supported by MAVA foundation.
The bird - watching tower represents the second of this kind built inside of "Divjaka-Karavasta" National Park area on the frame of this program. The bird-watching tower it is placed in a very favorable site, which allows the bird-watching enthusiasts to have a nice spot for observing the Dalmatian Pelican (Pelicanus crispus), a rare species of our nature and also to observe other birds species who lives in the lagoon such as: great white egret, wild duck, skylark, teals, great eagle, sea eagle, terns, storks etc. Further to that, the Divjaka - Karavasta National Park it is a beautiful landscape , an interesting area for visitors who like adventures, because the area offers various opportunities for eco-tourism, bird watching etc.
