Cross-border fair of good practices Struga Macedonia

The Organization for Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA) and Macedonian Ecological Society (MES) organized the "Fair of Good practices” in Struga, Macedonia, on 16 April 2015.

This was the final event of the project "Enhancing transboundary protection and development of the Shebenik-Jabllanica Mountain Range by active local involvement”, which was implemented by PPNEA from Albania, MES from Macedonia and Euronature from Germany during a period time of 20 month, in six municipalities between Albania and Macedonia cross border.
 
The aims of this fair were the promotion of local good products that are achieved through sustainable practices and to increase awareness of natural resources sustainable use. The representative from Albania and Macedonia had the opportunity to exchange experience and therefore to increase the cooperation between the two countries.
 
The event opening was done by two coordinators, Ms. Frosina Pandurska Dramikjan and Ms. Ajola Mesiti, which emphasized the importance and natural values of the study area and the collaboration between the organization for good project implementation.

In this event were present the Struga municipality mayor, Mr. Ziadin Sela and Vevčani municipality mayor, Mr. Cvetomir Ugrinoski, representatives from local NGO, collaborators and participants from Albania and Macedonia.

Through videos it was shown the activities done by the two organizations in the area of Shebenik – Jabllanica Park, by the support of six municipalities’ mayors, for the proper management.
 
In addition the project team developed a number of promotional and educational materials for the mountains Jablanica-Shebenik.
