PrespaNet members meeting for social weekend in Prespa
PrespaNet social weekend took place in the Albanian side of Prespa Lake on 10-12 July 2015. There were 20 participants from our member organizations who spent the last weekend in Prespa. This socializing event is a traditional one that members of PrespaNet organize every year since the establishment of this environmental NGOs network. This is a very effective way to bring people close to each other and also to clarify ideas and increase productivity.
PPNEA organized and hosted this year’s social weekend in Prespa in which the members experienced the beautiful nature of the National Park. We met first in the Zaroshka village to start hiking the next day to Mali i Thate. After a long way of hiking all along the beautiful walk we had a picnic lunch style. Photo shooting, bird watching and looking for special plants were the nature connectivity activities that we enjoyed the most when encountered with the beautiful nature of Prespa.
On the other hand, we visited the Medieval Museum of Korca to see the cultural part of this region which was followed by a visit to Boboshtice a few kilometers from the city of Korca, and enjoyed the cuisine of this region.
In the end, we left with the promise that the social weekend will continue to be a traditional event for PrespaNet members.
