Balkan Lynx Ambassadors of the ‘’Migjeni’’ Primary school together with PPNEA Balkan Lynx team visited the two first schools in Puka region, on 3rd November 2015. The Ambassadors went to ‘’Pjeter Arbnori’’ primary school in Fushe-Arrez and ‘’Shtjefen Gjecovi’’ primary school in Kryezi.
The activities took part in the school environment and had a good participation from pupils of different grades, who were invited to share their knowledge on Balkan lynx with their peers from ‘’Migjeni’’ school. Information sharing through the voices of our Balkan Lynx Ambassadors using educational materials developed from PPNEA, discussion with the pupils as well as creative activities such is drawing the Balkan lynx face from the participant kids, these were all part of the activities that was done in the schools.
We were very happy to have teachers present on the activities, especially in ‘’Shtjefen Gjecovi’’ primary school, where the teachers of Biology, history, geography, maths and physical activity were all part of the open presentation that we organized in their school. Leaflets with Balkan Lynx information in it, pictures and description were distributed to the pupils.
While in ‘Shtjefen Gjecovi’’ primary school we were warmly received and had the attention of every participant pupil to listen to our presentation. In ‘’Pjeter Arbnori’’ primary school the Balkan Lynx Ambassadors had to control the overwhelming energy of the students and their excitement when drawing the Balkan lynx face in their papers. It was all part of the learning process for us all because to teach is to learn!
