Call for applications Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA), is a non for profit organization working in the field of nature conservation in Albania. With its mission for ‘’bringing harmony between nature and people’’, PPNEA works in several projects throughout the country to research, preserve, restore and promote the biodiversity values of Albania, based on principles of sustainable development and for the benefit of communities. PPNEA initiatives include but are not limited to research on large carnivore monitoring, birdlife monitoring, transboundary protected areas initiatives etc.  Communications Assistant Interns ( 2 positions with 3 months’ duration) PPNEA is seeking to engage 2 student volunteers to join the communications and IT team for a period of 3 months, at the main office in Tirana, Albania. The communications & IT team of PPNEA is responsible to set out a coherent communications framework, to carry out effective management of internal and external communication through the delivery of clear and consistent messaging to achieve the organization’s vision and core objectives. The Communications Assistant Interns will join the PPNEA’s team unit to assist in functions such as but not limited to: website, e-newsletters, social media, and backend management of IT tools and solutions (WordPress, CMS panel). RESPONSIBILITIES -The Communications Interns will each be assigned to i) support the general social media and website content management of the organisation’s and, ii) the content management of the Spring Alive website for Albania. CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Social media. Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media and latest social media approaches, trends and analytics.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructures and the ability to manage IT personnel.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
Desired Skills & Abilities:
  • Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism and/or other related field. Knowledge of general environmental issues and topics is an added advantage.
  • Visual communication: Knowledge and experience with design and other visual forms of communication is an asset.
  • Structured, analytical, proactive, solution-oriented, positive attitude and flexibility.
  • Team spirit and the ability to work independently.
