SUPPORT TO THE MANAGEMENT OF PROTECTED AREAS IN BORDER REGION OF ALBANIA, KOSOVO AND NORTH MACEDONIA IN MONITORING OF ENDANGERED SPECIES
Korab – Koritnik / Sharr is a transboundary area shared between Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia. Due to its rich biodiversity and other natural vales, this area is protected by law in Albania and Kosovo, while North Macedonia is taking significant steps towards its proclamation as a protected area. Through this project, PPNEA aims to raise regional capacities on endangered species monitoring and generate, for the first time, regional data regarding wildlife distribution in the area. Our team will conduct theoretical and practical sessions with the neighbouring stakeholders, in order to teach them the best practices regarding endangered species monitoring. At the end of the project, we will produce a detailed report on wildlife distribution in the transboundary area of Korab-Koritnik / Sharr.
