Alba Brojka

Alba Brojka believes that change is possible when people are empowered, a conviction she holds throughout her work in support to democracy in the Western Balkans and Albania specifically. She is a political scientist and has held many positions in national, regional and international institutions including the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, European Endowment for Democracy, Regional Youth Cooperation Office and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Alba has volunteered and contributed to different civic and youth initiatives in her home-country and in the region. She is also a keen advocate for the protection of nature and its resources, and promotes a sustainable living.
Alba is specialized in public policy analysis, democracy support (NGOs & media), project management, youth and gender mainstreaming. She has attended trainings on leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School, is a fellow of the Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network of the German Marshall Fund, and has been awarded the Chevening scholarship. Alba holds an MPA in Digital Technologies and Public Policy from University College London, and a MA in International Relations and Diplomacy of the EU from the College of Europe. She has graduated in political science from the University of New York Tirana and in law from the University of Tirana.
