Ledi Selgjekaj

Project Manager

Ledi has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and pursued a Master of Science in Environmental Biology from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana. Her research focuses on nature conservation, particularly biodiversity protection and species conservation. Her main area of expertise is ornithology, where she is a part of PPNEA’s bird conservation program, conducting fieldwork for monitoring bird species.

She is currently managing projects that aim to tackle the issue of illegal wildlife poisoning and conserve the endangered Egyptian vulture and its population recovery in Albania. She is project manager of the Egyptian Vulture New Life project and BalkanDetox Life Project. Additionally, she is involved in a new initiative that focuses on the conservation of connectivity areas by strengthening governance and management of protected areas.
