PPNEA is a member of International Union for Conservation of Nature. Joining IUCN brought an added value to the work of PPNEA on the promotion of common standards and best practices in conservation and sustainable development in Albania, always striving to effectively support grassroots conservation action.
PPNEA is proud of being an accredited CSO of United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification since 1998 far before Albania ratified the convention in 2000. PPNEA has been active in the desertification issues and has signed two CSO Declarations to Combat Desertification in the Mediterranean , the first in Israel in 1999 and the second in Turkey in 2012.
The World Society for the Protection of Animals is one of the world’s leading animal welfare organizations. WSPA expose and oppose the suffering of animals in the wild, in our community, in farming and in disasters. PPNEA is a member of WSPA since 2005 and its work is directed toward wildlife captivity issues in Albania. 

Although in Albania BirdLife partner isn’t defined yet, PPNEA has implemented several activities and initiatives supported by Birdlife. Among them, PPNEA is responsible for the implementation of Spring Alive initiative in Albania.

The Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), is a non-profit Federation of Mediterranean Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) for Environment and Sustainable Development. PPNEA is an erly stage member of the federation and is mainly active within the Mediterranean Education Initiative for Environment and Sustainability.
The South Estern European Forum on High Nature Value (SEE HNV) is a SEE-wide network which raises awareness of the importance of low-intensity farming for nature conservation and aims to improve the way public policies respond to the needs of these farming systems. PPNEA is a member of this forum and promotes sustainabile and nature frendly farming practises in Albania.
The European Green Belt inititative has the vision to create the backbone of an ecological network that runs from the Barents to the Black sea, spanning some of the most important habitats for biodiversity and almost all distinct biogeographical regions in Europe. PPNEA is a member of this paneuropian initiative and together with its regonal and international partners is working toward the protection of the Balkan Green Belt.

The Med Forum is a network of environmentalist and ecological organisations of the Mediterranean aiming to incite in Mediterranean basin the ideals of support between peoples, of people with their environment, and between the people of today and the generations of the future. PPNEA is a member NGO of the forum and is mainly engaged in the desertification and climate change issues (unfortunately this network is not operational anymore).
