World Bee Day

World Bee Day

On May 20th, in celebration of World Bee Day, the PPNEA local office organized a special awareness-raising activity with the “Kallamas” 9-year school. This gathering beautifully combined education with entertainment, putting the irreplaceable role of bees on our planet right in the spotlight.

Through interactive discussions, students learned about the vital contribution bees make to plant pollination, honey production, and maintaining nature’s balance. Beyond their ecological importance, the children also explored the challenges, discussing the modern-day threats these insects face and the steps needed to protect them.

The activity truly came to life through creativity, as students showcased their talents through artwork and hands-on activities centered around environmental themes. Every single creation carried a clear and powerful message from the children themselves on the importance of caring for our ecosystem.

Ultimately, this activity was much more than just a different kind of lesson; it was an inspiring experience that sowed the seeds of responsibility and love for nature in the younger generation.
