Last week PPNEA team visited Prespa National Park, concluding the first camera trap monitoring and gathering important data. The selected trails reveal quite a good number of species such as Brown bear (Ursus arctos), beech marten (Martes foina), wild boar (Sus scrofa), grey wolf (Canis lupus), red fox (Vulpes vulpes), wild cat (Felis silvestris), etc.
We would like to thank our colleague of Regional Administration of Protected Areas Korce for the help and collaboration during this valuable process for NP Prespa and all our volunteers joined us in the field expeditions. This study will be realized in the framework of the project “Strengthening NGO-led Conservation in the Transboundary Prespa Basin” financed by PONT and Aage V.
