Monitoring equipment comprised of 8 camera traps, 2 laptops and other supplementary materials were handover by PPNEA and GIZ to RAPA Kukës and Dibër in order to increase the capacity of such institutions towards wildlife monitoring.
An improvement into monitoring capacities of RAPAs will help the overall management of Korab-Koritnik Nature Park, an area with exceptional biodiversity, home to species like brown bear, wolf and even the Balkan lynx, as an occasional visitor.
This activity was implemented in the framework of the project “Supporting the management of protected areas in border region of Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia in monitoring of endangered species”, financed by GIZ ORF BDU.
