PPNEA and the PrespaNet team invite researchers and practitioners to submit poster proposals for the 3rd Scientific Prespa Lakes Symposium titled “Shared Waters, Shared Challenges: Building Climate Resilience in the Prespa Lakes through Science and Cooperation”, Korça, Albania | 2–4 February 2026.
The symposium brings together scientists, policymakers, and practitioners from Albania, Greece, and North Macedonia to share science-based solutions for enhancing ecosystem and community resilience in the first transboundary park in the Balkans. The focus of the poster will be practical management-oriented solutions or applied research that share scientific findings, case studies, or policy/practice insights and enhace collaboration across borders and sectors
Thematic areas include:
– Climate Change and Water Management
– Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Management
– Transboundary Adaptation: Community and Policy Responses

PPNEA, Albania’s first environmental NGO, has been active for over 30 years in Prespa National Park. Together with Society for Protection of Prespa Greece and Macedonian Ecological Society, it co-founded PrespaNet, a transboundary network promoting dialogue and practical solutions for preserving the Prespa Lakes ecosystem.
