PrespaNet në fokPrespaNet is focusing on Prespa’s wetlands, a refuge of important biodiversity. With climate change effects taking their toll on littoral habitats by changing fish spawning grounds and feeding grounds of waterbirds, restoring wetland habitats is necessary on all three sides of the basin!
In an effort to address wetland degradation in Prespa, PrespaNet mapped transboundary wetland habitats, revealing an extensive mosaic with 13 priority habitats, 7 of which are shared by all three countries and resulting in action addressing particular threats!
