Wildlife in Korab-Koritnik / Sharr region

Wildlife in Korab-Koritnik / Sharr region
Our team, in order to raise regional wild fauna monitoring capacities, as an effective method for generating data and managing wildlife populations, successfully finished in October the theoretical and practical sessions regarding the usage of camera traps.

Responsible institutions of the area, such as RAPA Kukes and Diber (Albania), DAPK Sharri (Kosovo), as well as FOSH NGO in North Macedonia, can now independently monitor wildlife populations using camera traps.

For the first time, this area was monitored on a regional level, strengthening the transboundary cooperation for preserving nature and biodiversity.

Our team, based on the collected data, will compile a detailed report, which will best reveal the biodiversity values of this wonderful region.
