The Communications Officer will support the implementation of the organization’s communication activities and work closely with the Communications Manager and project managers, contributing to the communication of several projects and ensuring that the organization’s activities and results are presented accurately, engagingly, and in a coordinated manner to the public.

  • The Communications Officer will assist in creating informative and engaging content for social media, newsletters, press releases, articles, and the website. They will support the development of communication materials such as brochures, fact sheets, project reports, and public-facing materials, ensuring consistency with the organization’s style, values, and strategic objectives.
  • The Communicationswill assist in organizing activities and accompany project teams, documenting events through photography and video for promotion. They will create visual materials for project communication needs, including posters, social media graphics, infographics, and promotional materials, using graphic design software while respecting the organization’s visual identity.
  • Additionally, the Communications Officer will provide logistical and communication support for awareness campaigns, educational programs, and public events, collaborate with partner organizations, public institutions, and international networks to promote project activities and results, and contribute to the development of communication campaigns and strategies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or environmental fields with additional communication training.
  • Interest and basic knowledge of biodiversity conservation. Experience in environmental communication, environmental journalism, or nature conservation projects is an advantage.
  • Availability for full-time work (40 hours/week) and field trips to document project activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Albanian and English.
  • Experience in social media management and digital content creation (photo, video, storytelling).
  • Knowledge of graphic design and visual editing software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar programs.
  • Knowledge of WordPress or other website management platforms.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, as well as initiative and creativity in developing communication materials.
  • Ability to document and present activities through photography, video, and digital content for use on social media, the website, and promotional materials.
