THE VIOLATORS OF THE PROTECTED AREA OF PISHË PORO-NARTË CONTINUE THE DESTRUCTION OF THE NARTA LAGOON AND THE HUMILIATION OF STATE INSTITUTIONS
More than 3 kilometers of coastline within the protected area, composed of pine forests, hills, and unique sand dunes, are being destroyed by heavy machinery violently intervening in the ecosystem.
In less than a week, the machines are transforming the wildest habitats of the landscape by opening new access roads and construction sites.
According to field observations, as well as media reporting, all of this intervention is being carried out for the so-called Jared Kushner project, without any valid permit from the institutions.
The habitat near the Narta Lagoon now resembles an area controlled by gangs, where responsible institutions are afraid to intervene.
The Ministry of Environment must take measures to ensure that the Protected Areas Administration, the National Inspectorate for the Protection of Territory (IKMT), and the State Police urgently stop the illegal interventions in the Pishë Poro-Nartë Protected Landscape.
