This year we chose to celebrate International Vultures Awareness Day in Kurveleshi region by organizing environmental education and outdoor activities. Together with teachers of Progonati, Nivica and representatives of Regional Administration of Protected Area Gjirokaster organize “Egyptian Vulture Festival”. One week ago PPNEA’s specialists held a presentation on EV ecology and threats and lunch the drawing competition focusing on Egyptian Vulture. On 2nd of October the students presented their artworks, became familiar to our Egyptian Vulture monitoring methods, birdwatching and camera trap and had fun with our interactive games.
