PPNEA IS HIRING A PROJECT SPECIALIST IN GORICË E VOGËL, PRESPA NATIONAL PARK

Specific Tasks Include:

  • Assist in coordinating and implementing project activities and events, including support for organizing and coordinating meetings, seminars, events, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation, including reports, correspondence, files, and the database.
  • Support fieldwork processes and community engagement activities.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the project and timely completion of tasks.
  • Support and develop strategies for engaging the community in nature conservation activities.
  • Design/adapt and implement communication strategies for different target groups (youth/community/other stakeholders) to communicate project results and encourage their involvement.
  • Design and implement outdoor educational activities with school students in Prespa National Park and surrounding areas.
  • Maintain the organization’s local stakeholder database.
  • Lead and expand the local office’s volunteer group for experience/research purposes, particularly for bachelor’s or master’s studies.
  • Take meeting minutes at cross-border meetings for various monitoring activities according to the project’s operational plan.

Education: Candidates must have completed higher education in fields related to the environment, such as Environmental or Natural Sciences (biology, biochemistry, environmental engineering, etc.); experience in interdisciplinary studies or sciences will be considered an additional advantage.

Required Skills and Criteria:

  • Experience in supporting the organization of meetings, conferences, and similar events.
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with stakeholders (local, national partners, or donors) and with individuals from diverse nationalities, religions, cultural/professional backgrounds, and genders.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a team and in a dynamic environment, ensuring efficient time management and organization.
  • Strong management and promotional skills for PPNEA’s work with tourist groups visiting the local office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid category B driver’s license is an advantage.

Employment Conditions: This position is based at PPNEA’s local office in Goricë e Vogël, Prespa National Park.
