Albania’s nature rich heritage was recently highlighted in a lecture by PPNEA at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The lecture shed light on the importance of preserving these treasures. Students learned about PPNEA’s efforts in biodiversity conservation, including freshwater ecosystems, the importance of endangered species like the Balkan Lynx, the establishment of Protected Areas like the Munella Nature Park, etc. But, challenges persist, especially in regions like the Vjosa-Narta Protected Landscape. The lecture underscored the crucial role of students and young people in nurturing environmental stewardship. It’s vital that we all recognize the significance of Albania’s natural marvels and take actions to protect them.
