Puke – Mirdite region, PPNEA’s camera traps “shoot” more than 300 wildlife photos
The Balkan lynx monitoring team finishes successfully the monitoring session winter – spring 2019, with plenty of photos and videos shoot in the diverse region of Puke – Mirdite region. During this session we have collected more than 300 wildlife photos of different species and the most dominant is the Balkan lynx, the jewel of our high mountains. We have the pleasure to share with you the most interesting photos of this monitoring session and several photos from the box trap construction. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to set a GPS to a lynx individual but we evidence that a lynx individual was close to our box trap. This monitoring season was implemented in the framework of “Balkan Lynx Recovery Programme – Phase IV”, financially supported by Euronatur.
