Exploring Vjosë-Nartë: Study Expedition of German University Students
Driven by curiosity to learn more about the functioning of the ecosystem and the services provided by the Vjosë-Nartë Protected Area, students from the University of Applied Sciences for Sustainable Development in Germany, known as HNEE, chose Albania as their destination for an expedition aimed at studying and observing birds.
The picturesque natural habitat, rich in vibrant colors, contrasts with the imposing fence that encloses a significant part of the Protected Landscape. Despite the ongoing destruction caused by the construction of the Vlora Airport, efforts persist day and night to destroy it.
The destruction inflicted upon Vjosë-Nartë is evident for all to see, and it is disheartening to witness the blatant disregard for the decision made by the Berne Convention, which called for an immediate halt to the construction activities.
