More than 1200 seedlings to preserve the authenticity of Alder Forests in Prespa.
Alder forests in Prespa are important habitats for a variety of wildlife, including birds, mammals, and insects. They play an important role in the environment, as they help to stabilize riverbanks, and filter water. Alder trees are particularly well adapted to wet and marshy environments, and their root systems can help stabilize the soil and prevent erosion.
Unfortunately, in the past few decades, they have faced numerous threats in Prespa, both natural and human-induced, and old-growth, well-preserved alder forests are now a rare sight.
