A new education programme for school children in Shebenik-Jabllanica National Park
In the framework of the project “Protected Areas for Nature and People” #PA4NP, we started the conduction of a new education programme for school children within the area of Shebenik-Jabllanica National Park.

During the two educational expeditions carried out by experts from PPNEA and RAPA Elbasan, the students from the “Shefqet Dosku” school visited the forests of Rrajca, part of the UNESCO world heritage sites, while the children from the elementary school “Sali Halili” Rrajcë visited for the first time the visitor center as well as the forest of Fushë-Studën. This exchange was carried out in order for children to experience different areas inside the National Park.

In total, 50 children participated at a series of education activities that aimed to build a strong relationship with the natural environment, while learning about several birds, mammals or plant species.

The teachers and children were happy to be part of these education activities, which were different from the traditional learning subjects in their classroom. Furthermore, they expressed their willingness to join our future outdoor education activities at the Shebenik-Jabllanica National Park.
