An individual of the Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus) was observed near the military base located in Pashaliman. A visitor in the area managed to film this wonderful species and happily shared the video with us.
The presence of the monk seal in our coastline makes us proud and, furthermore, motivates us to do our best for protecting the marine ecosystems, which represent a natural treasure for Albania.
Our team, since 2018, is working to identify the potential habitats in the Albanian coast used by this species for shelter and reproducing.
