BREEDING SEASON FOR EGYPTIAN VULTURE IN ALBANIA
The Egyptian vulture represents the last breeding vulture in Albania. This endangered species returns to Albania and its territory every year to nest. Like every year, PPNEA carries out monitoring of the population of this species.
Monitoring of the success of the Egyptian population has already begun, and so far, 2 breeding pairs have been observed with chicks. PPNEA will continue to monitor the remaining territories, thus concluding the breeding season for this species, which in Autumn will start its journey to Africa again. The migration of Egyptian vulture consists of a #FlightforSurvival filled with risks, such as illegal poisoning, electrocution and collision with power lines, direct persecution, etc.
