On the 1st of October, Albanian Trip with support from PPNEA organized the promotional event “Munella, a natural gem waiting for protection”. Organized into a shepherds hut at the heart of Munella, this event was attended by representatives of sustainable businesses, NGOs’, media or even governmental institutions, such as the National Agency of Protected Areas and the Ministry of Tourism and Environment.
We wanted to bring back the attention towards this wonderful mountain, in order to accelerate the process of declaring it as a protected area. The deputy Minister of Tourism and Environment, Ms. Ornela Çuçi attended our event and stated in front of us that it is only a matter of time for Munella to being declared as a protected area. The home of Balkan lynx is now a step closer to protection, which will boost the sustainable development of the area, without harming the biodiversity values.
We want to thank all the people who participated into this event that despite the rain managed to transmit the wonders of this magnificent mountain.
